Artist Study – YOASOBI
YOASOBI is a Japanese duo that makes music based on novels from a website called Monogatari. With Ayase being the main songwriter and Ikura being the main vocalist. They started around when COVID-19 started, and quickly got popular with their debut song, Racing into the Night.
I chose their fairly new song called New Me, as the music video for that song is the most “normal” in terms of camera language. It mostly consists of two different styles, one style being more realistic, which I plan to do more of a normal classic style foley, whereas the other “cuter” style, I plan to do a bit of a cartoony style.
